Enterprise Flex-E-Rent rolls out four new trucks for Alliance Flooring
One of the UK’s leading dedicated floor covering distributors has partnered with Enterprise Flex-E-Rent to procure new Euro VI rigids customised for specialist industry application.
Alliance Flooring Distribution has more than 25 years’ experience in providing trade delivery solutions, and is a dedicated carrier of all types of floor coverings including carpets, vinyls, laminates, LVT, wood, underlays and flooring accessories.
Enterprise Flex-E-Rent supplied Alliance Flooring Distribution with four new DAF 26-tonne Euro VI rigids, each fitted with specialised 30ft bodies built by Bevan Motor Bodies. Each truck has been fitted with a specialist Bevan interior designed to handle heavy carpets, rugs and general floor coverings, and includes the provision of carpet cages and tugs within the body.
The trucks have recently gone into service as part of the Kidderminster-based company’s 42-strong commercial vehicle fleet. They are supporting an intensive distribution programme to deliver floor coverings from Alliance’s headquarters to national retail customers. The trucks generally make two- or three-day round-trips, and are expected to cover in excess of 160,000 km per annum over the five-year contract hire deal that includes vehicle maintenance.
Explaining the company’s decision to award this contract to Enterprise Flex-E-Rent, Kevin Waters, transport manager at Alliance Flooring Distribution said: “Their customer service has been excellent. With one phone call the job is done.”
“They will also service the vehicles at a time that suits us, minimising any potential downtime in the working week, which is essential in our intensive distribution operations.”
Danny Glynn, managing director at Enterprise Flex-E-Rent, said: “Our partners at Alliance Flooring know that attention to detail and customer service are part of the Enterprise Flex-E-Rent experience. They also value what that experience can bring to their business in terms of competitive advantage.”
